DINK stands for Dual Income No Kids. A time that some people experience right after marriage or a time when you live with your significant other with no dependents. I was perusing the internet and come across this post that really struck me at heart. Read it and tell me what you think!

I remember the first time I heard the term DINK! It was funny to me, but now that we have a 2 1/2 year old and another baby on the way I so think back to our DINK years and wish we had taken advantage more...or saved more knowing that we'd be crunching numbers like crazy at this point in our lives. Oh, the things I could do with that $800 we spend on day care (for one kid) every month! I'm not even letting myself realize officially that it'll be double next year when the next kiddo comes. Seriously, enjoy being a DINK, embrace it, love it, cherish it...because when that time of your life is done...it really is a different story. (Not necessarily in a bad way, it's not like your life is over, it's just way different when it's not all about you any more.)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't have said it better then the young ladies last comment..think before you have a child sis...really think about it !! I think all of our old friends would turn back the hands of time if they could. The thing is I know I am so lucky to be a dink !! Life is good and I never let any of my friends make me feel bad about not being a mom at 30..if anything I am so proud to be that rare person that cares enough about myself not to just have kids just to have them !!
